The Heart of a Child

Let me preface this post with a little information about my daughter, Taylor. She is 5 years old and will be going into Kindergarten in the fall. Before she goes to Kindergarten she has to have her 5 year old shots. There are total of 4 shots and they either give them to you in the arm/leg/or behind (I pray that it is not in the behind for her sake and mine).
Okay, now I will continue on with my story. On Friday morning, we were on our way to my mother's house to go shopping with her. We were stopped for about a minute or so when some construction workers were on the road filling potholes (for which I am grateful). While waiting, Taylor asked me if I thought the workers on the side of the road knew and loved Jesus. I told her that I wasn't sure. She then asked if I thought that they had asked Jesus to come into their heart. I told her that I hoped so, but couldn't be sure. Shen then asked if I thought they knew that Jesus had died on the cross for their sins. To which I answered again, I wasn't sure, but I hoped so. She thought about this for a few seconds, then proceeded to tell me that she was sure that when Jesus died on the cross it hurt worser then her shots are going to hurt. It was everything in my power to hold in the laughter. My heart smiled I'm sure. I love that little squirt and I love all the questions that her little mind comes up with. She's a thinker and I can't wait for the many questions that I'm sure will follow in the coming days/months/years!!!
